WHAT IS ADVENTURE CLUB?
 

Adventure Club is an action-packed, Bible-based weekly program that creatively introduces children to God through the guidance of caring adults. Boys and girls Kindergarten through 5th Grade learn and interact with each other in activities geared to place all children on an equal participation level. The purpose is to introduce, encourage the commitment of, and develop the relationship of children to the historical, biblical Jesus.

It’s exciting to watch Adventurers develop spiritually! Children will discover God’s love through a well-balanced program of songs, Bible lessons, scripture memorization, games, crafts, and other activities. Adventure Club helps them to make a person commitment to Jesus Christ and then grow toward spiritual maturity.

Adventure Club at Hope Covenant Church is each Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. September through April. Call the church office at 815-455-6340 for additional information.

The Discovery of the Savior:  Growing in the Son

"I planted the seed, ... but God made it grow."  1 Corinthians 3:6

A small seed is placed in the soil.  a little rain falls, the sun warms the soil and eventually that small seed sprouts into something beautiful.

So, too, with God's Word.  "The Seed" is planted in a child's heart. Add a little rain of challenges and trials mixed with loving warmth of the Son and, over time, this child grows into a wonderful child of God.  The idea of new birth, both in plants and people, is a mystery to us.  but we do know our all powerful God makes these miraculous changes occur.  God is at work in our world and in our lives.

Register online or use the printable form to mail in or drop off... Hope Covenant Church, 451 Ackman Road, Crystal Lake, IL  60014.  Mrs. Mellinger will call you and confirm receipt of your registration.  Register by September 1st and get $5 off the total registration amount. (Maximum savings is $5 per family.)

Heaven Bound We Are!

9 clubbers accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  It was God who fertalized the seeds that were planted into the hearts of clubbers each week.  Praise and glory be to God.

Adventure Club’s 2010 Service Project

 

Thanks to the generosity of each Adventure Club family we purchase enough seeds to support  23 families!  The seeds were purchased from and are distributed by the World Vision organization.  These hybrid and drought resistant seeds are fast growing and tend to produce bigger harvests.  Blessings to those who received our gift of seeds.  May their harvests be as fruitful as our deeds.

 
ADVENTURE CLUB FACTS

Adventure Club began at Hope Covenant Church on Wednesday, September 17, 1998.

Yearly club registrations are around 100 students in grades K-5th.

The registration fee has never increased.

There is on average 30 weeks in a club year.  (That's 67 cents per student a week!)

Every club year there is a service project.  Over the years we've collected money for the hungry, canned goods for the local food pantry, shoes for the children of Santo Domingo, mittens/gloves/hats for the ones less fortunate than us, and small toys for the kids in Iraq.

It takes a staff of 20 who volunteer their time to share the love of Jesus with children like yours.   

Adventure Club's favorite bible verse is Matthew 19:14 --- Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."  It's what Adventure Club is all about...sharing the Gospel and leading each child in a relationship with Christ.
