The next quarterly Small Group Leaders gathering will be held TBA  All leaders or potential leaders of small groups are encouraged to attend. 

IN HOME SMALL GROUPS NOW MEETING/FORMING
Jesus said, "Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them" (Matthew 18:20) Lives are formed and transformed in small groups when people meet together to pray, to study, to engage in fellowship, or to work on a specific task.  Groups meet throughout the week in different locations, covering a variety of topics. To get plugged in, contact the church office.

MONDAY Morning Women's Study 9:15-11:30AM  Stepping Up: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent by Beth Moore
 

TUESDAY (1st/3rd) Women's Study 7-9:00PM  Disciplines of a Godly Family Drawing from their experience as parents and grandparents, Kent and Barbara Hughes share their wisdom on how to rear children who love and honor God and others. Also includes an extensive appendix containing resources to help your family cultivate godly disciplines. Starts November 3rd

WEDNESDAYS Growing Stronger Bible Study 7:30-8:30 PM  Verse by verse study of scripture. Using Greek texts.  It's never to late to join us, we have no set schedule, We take each verse and discuss what was written then and what it may mean for us today. We meet in the conference room and have a small group environment.  Every one is welcome. Beginning Wed Sept. 1, 2010 we start a brand new study in the book of Hebrews, if you are looking for a small group sutdy, please come and join us.  hope to see you there.

THURSDAY PRAYER TEAM 7:00pm Meets at church to pray for the needs of the church.  If you would like to be prayed over personally, please talk to the Pastor.

SATURDAY Morning Men's Study 7:00 AM  Newcomers always welcome.  Hot breakfast, first Saturday of the month.  Varied topics of conversation and study.
 

Womens Ministries-Fall Fellowship Women's Retreat Sept 24-26, 2010

"Claim Your Identity"  at Covenant Harbor Bible Camp, Lake Geneva, WI.  We are blessed to have Lisa Orris, ECC Director of Evangelism as the speaker this year.  You are personally invited to attend a time of relaxation, fellowship, praise and worship.  Come to connect and grow with the women of Hope and the greater Central Conference of the Covenant Church.  Registration forms are located in the narthex.  You can find retreat info online:  www.CentralConferenceWomenMinistries.com, or www.CovenantHarbor.org.  Contact Kim Olsen 847.961.6930 for more information.  A group mailing will take place on June 1st to ensure timely registration

Now is the time to come to serve your church. If you are looking for a way to serve your church, but you dont have an abundance of time to commit, Please consider serving as an Usher or Greeter. These positions only require a once a month commitment on your part. The only requirement is to be in place at 9:00 am with a smile on your face ready to greet people as they come to worship. Although this is a small commitment, it is a major function for the well being of the church. As a greeter or usher, you are often the first contact for a visitor or even a long term member in need of assistance. Do you have a heartfelt passion that compels you to make a difference for the kingdom of God?  The Adult Commission is anxious to know if God has given you the gift of  SHEPHERDING or TEACHING.  Shepherds nurture, care for and guide people toward ongoing spiritual maturity.  Teachers understand, clearly explain and apply the Word of God, causing greater Christlikeness in the lives of listeners.  (Network pp 92-93)  Membership required.  Contact Pastor or the Adult Commission if you are interested in learning more about Adult Ministries at Hope.
